Closet for studio

While cleaning out my closet for the knitting room I realized it's a really  closet deep & very wide.
I might be able to use it as a little studio room for YouTube videos for my Toyota Machine.  I still haven't actually checked to see if the chair and machine and stand will fit in there I'm hoping it will.

knitting room day 3 :-)

I spent last night cleaning up after the dogs, they had been in all day and had some accidents.
So that was how I started off my evening.
When I finally got ready to clean again, I had to start on where my machines and yarn were stored,
It's now almost empty and it looks so much nicer.
But, I still haven't started on my knitting room, and if nothing else gets done today, to tell the truth  I just don't feel like it, I will get my cone winder up today.  I have my lk150 set up and I want to knit this afternoon. I can't knit using yarn straight from a skein.
I think I will turn on the  radio and let the tunes carry me away to that cleaning jazz I need :-)

Taking a break from knitting

I'm taking a break from dating for a while. I finally have a craft room and now all I have to do is move all the stuff that's not my knitting stuff into another room.  If you only knew how much I have to do but I'm hoping it'll  all be worth it.

Day 2 - converted pattern

I finally finished my pattern tonight.  I'm pretty happy with the way it came out.
After tweaking it for a week and finally took me two days to knit.
I made a few mistakes, nothing that shows I hope.
These are made on the LK 150 using Red Heart yarn with tension 5 & a gauge of  20 stitches and 28 Rows for 4 inches.

My first attempt at converting a pattern

I am trying to convert the slipper sock pattern to machine it.  It took all weekend, with my trust laptop and Excel but I think I might have just done it.  There is a slipper sock kit that you can buy from a local craft shop, it contains the leather soles ( fake fur lined ) also included is a pamphlet of instructions on knitting or crocheting the slipper sock.
I have giving up crocheting, it hurts my hands too much, but saw that the pattern was a flat piece and figured it could work on a machine.
So I spent all weekend trying to read a hand knit pattern, not as easy as it sounds for those of us who don't hand knit .  I think I did it, I really won't know until I test .
I got started today I cast on 50 stitches and knitted in one by one ribbing for 20 rows.
